Hello all,
I am trying to locate and change a message that tell me "you are not allowed to make a call at this time" whenever I dial 9 to make an outbound call. Where should I start? Thanks in advance
So from your trace you are hearing an external error message, are you able to call this same number from your cell phone? Also is this all outside numbers or just one?
If it's all then you most likely have your ARS programmed incorrectly
Yes, I am able to call 8326618162 from my cell phone. This happens to all outside numbers. They do it intentionally so employees can't make any outside calls at all. So as soon as employee dials 9+phone # the message plays. I think I recognize the voice of the message is recorded in house. Any thought.
sounds like you need an account code to make any long distance telephone calls, are you now trying to remove this set up? so any outside calls can be made?
It doesn't matter of a long distance or local. I notice the COR setting is restricting the outside call. If I assign different COR setting to extension 3211 then I'll be able to make outside call from that extension, but that is not what I want. I just want to change the words of the message.
I think you might be looking for something in the system-parameters features under DID/Tie/ISDN/SIP Intercept Treatment. There will be a number assigned to that location that will be a voice announcement. I don't know if that's what you need but I figure I'd give it a shot.
I was hoping that location indicate voice announcement extension but It's not, it says "attendant". Any other thought? I think it has something to do with the COR but have not seen any lead so far. Appreciate all continuing inputs
I would think then that would be an external message as you can clearly see from the trace that it is hitting a trunk on an outbound call, how exactly is this programmed in your ars
You are right Joe by looking at ARS table but as soon as second number pressed after 1 it will give me a fast busy signal. Gotta be something else, More thought..

I believe the message you are hearing is an external message which you will not be able to change, I see you said by changing the cor that the call will work, most likely has the correct frl level assigned to that cor
It has been working fine, like receiving inbound calls, inter-office calls, except local and international outbound calls which is intended to be. Yes if I assign different COR level for that particular extension number, I know for sure, it will work because I know which COR level will allow outbound calls . If you believe that is an external message then you have answered my question. If that was an internal message should it be recorded in one of my announcement extensions?
