out personal calendar to public folder calendar

using exchange 5.5 and outlook xp...Would like to enable a user to enter info into personal calendar(not personal folder) and have a trigger automatically fire and input the appointment info into the public folder calendar....Anything would be helpful.....tavie

Couldn't you just have that user have access to the public folder calendar and just enter appointments directly to that calendar?

just add the public folder to your accounts on the workstation in question. add to everyones and then they all have access to a global calender which can be updated by anyone.

What I am trying to accomplish is for users with Palm Pilots to sycronize on their personal Calendar and have all info update the Public folder calendar..This way users only have to maintain one calendar....And can query the Public calendar for all events....Thanks in advance....

You might be able to do this with "Enterprise Calendar" found on

http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/scheduleall.htm

It works OK but sometimes has problem syncing deletes.

There also might be some other solutions on that page

mitchcumstein Ialready have this app,but it does not work at all...any suggestions to getting it to work...Basically the server side code does not fire. Mapi logon error.....

Guess what...I finally got the Enterprise calendar to work....check your Agents log under Calendar properties....If you have a mapi logon failure, make sure tha you have created a custom attribute in Exchange for Employee ID...check the comments in all vb projects for info..after setting this attribute everything works.....Maybe this will help you.....
