Out of office doesn't work

Hello R5 mail server I initiate the out of office function using action /tools etc
however it doesn't send an email to the sender informing of my abensense is there something has to be turned on the domino admin ?

You should check whether the ACL on your mail file is set correctly. To run the out of office agent you need developer access (and the right to create Lotus-Script/Java agents). Hope this helps

You do need to be able to run agents, but also it may only be set to run once a day at 1 am. You can check this by actually opening up the Out of office agent and looking to see when it is run, so it'll run every hour or so. Also if you set it up on a local replica of your mail file, you may not have given it time to replicate up to the server copy before shutting down the client.

You might also not be authorized to run personal agents on the server. Check that with you administrator.

when setting up the agent, the default location is probably "local" you might want to change this to the specific mail server you are using.
