Out Of Memory Problem

i have an application that uses oracle7, vb6 and active reports. the problem is... when the system is run in a pc with english os, the application runs smoothly and doesn't hangs. but when the application is run in japanese os, the application hangs and the machine runs out of memory...

is there some kind of compatibility that has to be checked concerning the oracle installed, the odbc driver and the japanese os?

we're not sure which one causes this error... but we are looking at both oracle and active reports and any conflicts that might be existing in relation to the os...

I suppose that any client tool expecting single-byte characters may cause it. Does your OS crash also?

nope... the application just hangs and as long as you don't close the application... the other programs would not run... i.e., i tried opening notepad and type something in it, i can't type anything... but that only happens in japanese os... in english os, it does not happen... :-(
