Problem: "Out of Memory" message pops up in InDesign but only occassionally and not in the same file.
My System: G4, Dual 1.25 GHz, 768 MB RAM, running 10.2.8, 80 GB HD
InDesign: version 2.0
I'm a magazine designer and will be working on a part of the magazine (usually 4-6 pages at a time) when the "Out of Memory" error pops up. It' does not happen in the same document/file or even on a consistent basis. It can happen several times in a month and then not happen for months. (it does not happen in any other program)
When it does happen, I have to quite out of ID and restart my computer. Just quitting out of ID doesn't fix it.
My system is not lacking for power so I'm not sure why this would occur. I know in OSX there is no way to adjsut allocated memory like you could in OS 9.
Laslty, I usually have Photoshop, email and Acrobat open at the same time with ID.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, Jeff
