Out calling to a outside Number

Currently when someone dials into my switch they get an auto att, the person is instructed to press -1, then this is assigned to a subscriber 8801. And I have outcalling to a beeper #.

I need to change this to a real outside phone number which will be an answering service. I tried changing the out calling number to the new number and it just rings and rings, but I done hear the phone ringing. I have no idea of whats wrong. Cant understand why its not working when it worked with the beeper number.

any ideas could only help.

check if the cor of your audix extensions allow the number you changed it to. it may be possible that outcalling only allowed the pager number in the ars.
