Can I disble this on a client(w2k) without rebooting it.
I have set the OTM_USE key to "no" in regedit on the client.
I am using NB 3.4.1ga.

No reboot - I would always restart the Netbackup services though, just to be sure.
You can also disable it under the Clients list in Netbackup Configuration.

Hi All,

Currently, I am facing a "Status 11: system call failed" for a particular Win2k client. My understanding to solve this requires a change to be done on the registry on the windows client pertaining to the OTM entry. How ever I am not too sure of how to go about doing it? Has anybody done this before?

Or is there another solution to this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Kevin Setia

You can un-check the Use OTM box under Configure Netbackup to turn off OTM.

If you can't do this, and have to change the registry:
Use the 'regedt32' or 'regedit' utility. Select the Client you want to change in the File Menu - 'select computer' option, and type in the server name.

Double-click the key from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE window

\SOFTWARE
\VERITAS
\NetBackup
\CurrentVersion
\Config
\OTM_Use

Change the String Value to 'NO'

If it says you're in read-only mode, change this in the 'Options' menu.
