I am trying to get phone records thru OTM that shows calls made to 911. The extension detail report for all extensions is accurate to the best of my knowledge but there was a 911 call made yesterday that does not show up. Can anyone tell me how to retrieve this record?

do a search in your raw data for 9911,

I have allready done that and it is not there. Is there a time limit that calls have to be connected for CDR or OTM to pick up the info. I think the calls are accidental and as soon as the caller realizes they goofed they hang up, but not before 911 operators see the call.

are you set up for enhanced 911? i send my cdr to a file as raw data before it goes to the otm, if the number is dialde, i have it. the call buffer saves 50k of calls without a place to send them, then it overwites the oldest call. you can route 9,911 or 911 to your operators or security office if the problem persist. even as a temp trap, the delay would be controlled, you would then have to give the oper or sec a code to call 911, i have used 9 1999, as a fail safe.

I am not possitive about being set up for enhanced 911, I think that is thru telco and this area should be using that.
I have taken 911 out of the spn table so we now have to dial 9911 and that should stop the accidental 911 call. Would a file that had cdr records dumped into it have more info than the raw data in OTM?

nortel has that package for the switch, it gives you a print out on a separate printer when anyone dials 911. if 911 or 9911 is not in your raw data file for otm then there has to be a filter somewhere in the fat package called otm. you can test 911 by dialing it from your phone and telling the 911 dispatch that you are testing translations, she will (should) not tell you your ani but if you ask it you are displaying xxx-xxx @ 120 main she will confirm her display. i use this any time i set up a new pri, the people at the phone company manually compile address to account number relationships so it bears testing. i have seen 911 displays show a nondialable number. i have in the past installed positron equiptment for 911 dispatch centers.

if your trunks are setup for supervision (yes) calls will not produce cdr if the call is not picked up on the other end. If set to no I beleave then even if the call is not picked up on the other end it will generate a record.

Also there is a spot in OTM that can be configured if a call is shorter than say .02 sec it will not generate in the reports. not sure where off the top of my head.

hope this helps
