I have an issue getting an OTM client to connect, all installs OK, but I get an "unable to create aurhentication instance,#800706.
I have reinstalled, removed the client registration from the server, and reinstalled, but no joy there.
The OTM server is fine and connects to the M1 no problem.
This is a big deal as the custome is really on my back.
The usual deinstall reinstal advice is no good for this one folks...
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Ray

Try the following:

1) Reboot the PC and log in using the LOCAL ADMIN account. DO NOT attempt to log into OTM

2) Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Component Services

3) From Component Services expand the following folders -> Computers -> My Computer -> COM+ Applications

4) Right click and select properties of the OTM Application

5) Select the Identity tab. Change the radio button from Interactive user to This User. Use the browse button to locate the Local Administrators account and select it. Input and confirm the password. Apply. Okay. Log into OTM

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

I have tried
this remedy with success, also I have tried removing the client from the server, and reinstalling the client software, this goes fine, and appears to be installing the application proxy fine after reboot, but still I get the unable to create authorisation instance, as before. Any firthe rhelp would be most appreciated, thanks Ray W
