How many acronyms can we use?
We have OTM and I can see that CDR is listed as part of our software package, but I do not see the TBS [telecom billing system] option.

Is TBS an additional software package?
We have an employee who is being harrassed and want to track their phone calls for local authorities [they are in the process of getting a court order for a trace thru AT&T local, but they are only permitted to have it run for a limtied amount of time, then have to get additional court orders]

Your input, as always, is greatly appreciated.

If your not doing CDR for the site you can turn CDR for just 1 person.

TBS is something you need to buy.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Start by saying YES to CDR on your DID route and INC YES

If its never been setup before you need to setup in the
CDB (Assign what port it will print to)
CFN (TTY PORT, USER CTY)
On Phone (CLS ICDA

I appreciate your input.
CDR has never been setup
In reference to: If its never been setup before you need to setup in the

CFN (TTY PORT, USER CTY)

When you state print to, do you mean where it will be stored in memory?

Do we have to constantly print the TN or will it cache the information to be retrieved on a daily/weekly basis?
Where is it then stored?
How do we access it?
How do we delete the info after it has been printed?
Can we retrieve the info from OTM?

I look foward to your input.

What is your system type?

When you state print to. The TTY port that can be connected to a Printer or a PC to collect the RAW data.

This depends on the answer the top.

These answers all depend on the answer to the top Question.

Does your OTM have the TBS package (Telephone Billing Service)

Meridian Option 11c with CallPilot and OTM 2.28

If we can print to a computer, how do I set the port up to print to the OTM Server [PC?]

Sadly, no we do not have TBS.

Then Don't even think aboul OTM again for this. in the 1st Cab there is a cable with about 4 or 5 cables hanging off of it, and they should be labeled TTY 0 to TTY 4. Which one's are being used now?

Oh, stinkers, the other PC is in a whole other room connected via LAN.

TTY 0 is the switch, can we save it there without wreaking havoc?
Or on the CallPilot Server or is that a no no?

Yes you can go into LD 17 and CHG TTY 0 and add USER CTY and it will print the CDR for that phone on that TTY.

I'm going to give your instructions a go, I'll let you know what happens hopefully tomorrow!

Thanks for all of your input.

I was looking at the manual and to be able to print CDR to TTY 0 and actually be able to present is as evidence is quite cumbersome.

Other than TBS [I have heard ugly things about this package when trying to use it for the sole purpose of tracking incoming calls for one person], is anyone aware of a way to track incoming calls to a specific DN [or TN either way :) ]

Have it go to another TTY port and hook a PC to it. There isn't any other way to Track just 1 TN. If you have the TBS package, you can get a report on just 1 DN, I have never used it but it just gets the RAW Data from the PBX and sorts it.
