I have OTM 2.2 and a MDR2000e buffer box. I can telnet and ping the MDR2000 however OTM gets a connection error when I try to collect data. The configuration has been set for ethernet with the correct IP. Any idea what may be missed?

It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it. Steven Wright

Is the MDR2000 setup right and is the OTM sending the right commands?

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

i haven't worked on one of these in a long time, but i do remember you can login straight to the MDR box w/the right cable and u get a command line interface that allows u to check settings on the box.

by the way, they were bought out by Avotus, so u could call them for assistance if you have a maintenance contract.

The MDR seems to be setup, I can telnet into it. The OTM uses the same connection script as the dialup MDR which are working. I have no manual and Avotus is no help without maintenance contract.

At the MDR2000: Ctrl V and IM > to get into it.
ST will display the Status. The unit should be set up at either 1200 or 9600 on both ports.
In the OTM, you should have your "communications" setting set to the correct comm port and configured at the same settings. You should also be using the "MDR2000" script login settings to communicate between both devices. Good luck.

I HAVE A MDR200 HOOKED UP TO THE OTM 2.2 COMPUTER DIRECT CONNECT, I CAN SEE THE INFORMATION IN THE OTM SIDE BUT THE DATA IS IN THE WRONG FORMAT WHEN IT TRIES TO RUN THE SCRIPT FOR THE MDR2000.COL THE SCRIPT IS NOT SEEING THE INFORMATION IN THE CORRECT FIELDS, IS THERE SOMETHING I COULD DO TO GET THE DATA TO SHOW THE CALLS IN THE COLLECTED SCREEN?

This is a new Question, Please start a new Thread otherwise people will need to read this entire thread before the see your question and it has nothing to do with the original question.

Has a buffer box ever been setup on your otm box?
Just because you can ping the mdr doesn't mean its configured 100% correctly. That just means your IP address scheme is cool.
Can you ping the mdr from the OTM box? How do you have the mdr connected to the otm box?
What error exactly are you getting?

pbxn: Didn't you read my post to dell033? how many years do we want to continue this thread?
