Guys,

Does anyone know...... I've added a new site to our otm. but when I go to update the system data or any of the lists I get a error "no communications profile defined for this application" Now I have set up the communications profile and associated the applications to the profile.

Anyone know?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Do u even get this after defining the communication profile?
May be you didn;t provide the user ID and password in system properties - "Customers" tab?

are you using serial or ethernet connection?

if ethernet, try if you can ping the ip address of the pabx.

if serial, using any terminal emulation (hyperterminal), try if you can communicate with the pabx, use the logi name and password same as you have define on system properties tab

ethernet, and I can ping the switch. If I use the olvy passthou or the vt220 for the site I can get in. It's only when I try to update system data or the lists that I get the error.

I've done a new install on a fresh machine of OTM and it's fine - I can only think that the application has become corrupted.

Check properties for this site and look in the application Tab - I suspect there is an item without a communication profile defined
