Hello, all, again!

I am having a problem with OTM 2.2 and connecting to one of my switches.

If I use the terminal connection in OTM, it gives two choices...overlay passthrough and VT220. On one of my switches, both work. On another, only the VT220 works...the overlay passthrough on TTY15 does not work. It will only echo what is typed in the entry line.

Is there a way to manually reset the offending TTY to get it back to the phone switch? Is it possible to telnet around OTM to the TTY? Our OTM connects to both switches over our LAN.

It may be related to MIRAN configuration and the "ax" command, but it will not recognize the CTRL+] to get back to the switch. Nothing for the MIRAN appears when connected. The ax command does not work on the main terminal, it only puts me back to the overlay prompt. The multiplexer setup is configured properly for use of "ax 3" to get to the MIRAN, but does not work properly. Getting to the serial config of the MIRAN in this manner is not necessary as I have found the serial cable for the front connector and access it that way.

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter...

To check your TTY ports you need to login and go to ld48 and enter stat tty. To diable and enable tty ports you use the cmd dis tty x or enl tty x.

The OTM application uses an Rlogin connection across ethernet. You can replicate this with a putty client.
