OTM 1.2 WEB interface setup

I've tried to install an IIS-service om my OTM server in order to use the OTM Web navigator. My problem is that i'm not able to login through the web interface (admin page) - I get an "Unable to authenticate user" error message. How do I create an user account that works!?!

My OTM system is version 1.20.26 installed on a Windows 2000 server with SP1.

Hi,

The easy way is to install IIS first and then OTM.

OTM configures IIS so you can use the Web interface.

You also must create users that are allowed to use the interface. But I need to look that up...

I've already done so.

Where do I create the users? In the OTM system (normal client logon) or on the Windows 2000 server? and what rigths (group membership etc.) must the users have?

The reason for my questions is that our supplier is not very informative nor helpfull. They answer my questions on a need to know basis and it takes a lot of time before they sent any answers.

I had to create users on the local machine and use that login and password to log in to otm over the web. I inherited a system that was installed but never working. So I do not know if they had IIS on before or after OTM was installed. But needless to say after I created accounts on the local machine, presto OTM let me log in.

Also, remmber to connect to the machineip/admin to get to the admin otm screen, took me awhile to figure that out, but I didnt have documentation either.

I've done like you discribed. Now I get a new kind of message from the server:

Did you try accessing with Mozilla or with IE5?

I'm using IE version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.021108-1929 (well, that is what it says when I look under Help->About Internet Explorer.
I've tried Mozilla as well but with the same result so my conclusion is that it's not a browser thing.

Nope. I mean - I dont know. Any idea of where this Java thing is located?

Maybe I should mention that my 2 OTM klient PCs have Windows 2000 installed and my own PC is running Windows XP SP1.

I've given up on this OTM Web access - it's a clean installation with default settings and it's still not functional. Apparently there are not many users on the Web-interface for the OTM system... There are simply no support in my home country (one down for Nortel).

Well, the idea was allright - in theory...

OTM 2.0? I dont think so... Nortel? hmmm.... show me that it works before I spend any more money on your products.
