Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to put a shortcut to one users mailbox in the outlook shortcuts of anothers. The user has access to the other users inbox but i can't figure out a way to do this. Its basically so they don't have to go through file open bla bla.

Any help would be much appreciated

Yes, once you've granted permission to the users requiring access (from your post it looks as though you have already done this), go to the file of the other user's inbox. Click on the pin thing, top right of the window, to keep the file view open. Right click on the Inbox title on the toolbar and you'll see the option to be able to copy the shortcut to Outlook bar. Bob will then be your uncle ;o)

the problem is i'm not actually wanting to be in the other persons e-mail. I want one user to have his own folder list open with only his mailbox, but i want shortcuts to other peoples inbox's in his outlook shortcut bar.

i've tried a few thing out like opening his mailbox along with the other users then creating the shortcut like you suggest then removing the other users mailbox, but this just leads those shortcuts to the original users inbox.

Any other ideas?

The way to do what you want is how I explained - I do it all the time. I'm not sure what you are doing, removing their inboxes afterwards, why would you do that?

The reason i don't want the other users mailboxes opened all the time is that it is a remote site connecting to exchange and i've noticed when there is 2 or 3 users mailboxes open in the folder list as well as the users own mailbox it slows it down.

That is why i want outlook shortcuts rather than having the mailboxes open. So the user can check the other mailboxes when needed then close them. I'm beginning to think though that there's just no way of doing this. Looks like we'l just have to stick with file, open other users folder.

Thanks anyway.
