Hi,
I have a customer that has the OSN feature programmed, but claims that it's not working. This site is remote, so I cannot go to test.
Here is the programming:

My understanding is that if E911 is called, then the set will buzz, and across the display there will be notification of where E911 was called from.

What happens if the set is busy, either with calls on E510 or just on "0"? Do they miss the notification?
There have been a lot of false E911 calls, and the customer (and of course emergency services) are frustrated.
If someone could let me know, that would be great!!

Your programming so far looks good but you have to make sure that your RLB has LTER set to yes for 911 routing. Build a RLB for 911 only. LTER causes the local termination to the OSDN setting. Also, it is better to have a seperate digital display phone programmed with the OSDN as Key 0 and key 1 as OSN and have that phone be for emergency calls only. You'll have to test multiple call situations to see how they flow.

In 5.0 and above there is a feature that detects misdials and blocks them. If someone dials 911-212-534-6677 the call will be blocked. If they dial 911 or 91111111 it will go through to the emergency center. It is turned on in the ESA setting area.

Thanks, doing my testing will try your suggestions.
I had thought of putting the OSDN on key 0 - will have to see if that is going to work with the customer's situation.
Thx again

The display is not automatic you will have to press the OSN key to get the information. They must also clear the last message or the next one will not appear.

On a somewhat related note, I noticed that phone has the same DN on SCR KEY 0 and 1. There is no point in doing that.
