I am running SMS 2003 SP1 on Windows 2003 SP1 servers. I have two OSD questions.

When I watched the web cast on the OSD, under the properties of a program, there was a state capture tab. This tab allowed you to sepecify a network location and supply credentials to store the state capture. I just downloaded and installed the OSD in December. I do not have this tab. Does anyone know if they removed this tab in the second release? Is anyone else experiencing this?

During the post install procedure, I am trying to overwrite the existing sysprep.inf. I have tried using both VBscript and a SMS installer script with no luck. The reason I am trying to do this is so I don't have to create a different image for a system that supports hyperthreading. This sysprep.inf is exactly the same as the one on the image except I add this line to the unattend section:

UpdateHAL=ACPIAPIC_MP, c:\windows\inf\hal.inf

Does anyone know if this is possible? If it is possible will it overwrite what the OSD has added to the sysprep.inf?

Thanks tbrennans. I got the answer to one of my questions from my Microsoft TAM.

"That feature was in the OSD Beta and later removed due to security concerns with saving state to a network location. These issues are discussed in the OSD User's Guide. SMSv4 will provide full support for securely storing state to a network location.
