OS9 Laserjet 4600 problem

I'm working on a G4 running OS 9.2.2 and I am attempted to solve a printing issue. The machine is configured to print via LPR to a LaserJet 4600. Whenever the machine prints, all that comes out is about 10 pages with one or two junk charachters on each page. I have tested the printer from my G4 using the same OS and printer driver and I get beautiful prints. Any ideas?
