OS4K V10R1 in an ESXi environment. Payload encryption is enabled for all HFA subscribers.
Two problems have accumulated:
1. After updating OS4K from V10 to V10R1 exactly every one hour for all Standard and Survivable softages throws the following error:
F5749 E8 N3741 NO ACT BPA BOARD LW REQUEST 24-03-06 08:30:58

REASON:00H ONLY SIGNALING
VM resource alloc error
Error: VM reserved CPU frequency lower than required.

Branches does not have such an error.
All softgates have:

Maybe someone has encountered such a problem?

2. A few days ago one Survivable softgate started throwing errors:

This happens when the subscribers of this softgate initiate a call.
Everything is fine with other softgates and Branch.
Our network administrators say they don't see any network problems. After disabling payload encryption for subscribers of this softgate, errors are no longer displayed and the softgate does not lose connection.
There are 817 subscribers configured in this softgate. Could it be that turning on encryption is causing resource overruns?

I think you've answered your own question.

But enabling SPE absolutely carries a resource overhead. After all, there is a lot more to do.

The vCPU reservation needs to be 4 * the physical CPU frequency. So I would set that and see if your problems disappear. vCPU shares should also be set to high.

Softgate server CPU is 2.6GHz. The virtual machine is set to 4 vCPUs and the CPU reservation is set to 11000 MHz. Compliant, but errors occur every hour.

Definitely, that does sound compliant. Is it possible to raise the reservation and check if the error disappears?

I've looked in the docs to see if there is a restriction for number of users when SPE is in place but I don't see one. Doesn't mean there isn't one. SPE is an overhead and you are not far away from the max limit of 1000 for a SOCO1000.

Might be worth a ticket to Unify to clarify, but having software up to date is worthwhile too, if you are able to check that.

I also thought that I should try to increase the reservation value. I will have to ask the DC admins to increase the reservation for at least one Softgate.
As soon as I noticed this problem, I immediately installed all the latest Hotfixes.
We don't have direct access to Unify, but I have been in contact with the Unify representative in our country about this issue...so far he has not provided a solution.
