im really new at windows server, using it for less than 3 months but i am in charge of it and we have about 40 users
is there a way to group users? to make things more organized?

i checked the technet files and found a how to, it recommends making organizational units, which is fine.

now how do i move my already created users into their respective files? will they experience any changes or disruption if they are at their computers working when i do this? will it affect the architecture of the servers setup? and lastly if anyone could recommend a site or book to bring me up to speed on the basics of active directory or windows server in general.

thanks, john

If you are moving users into different organizational units then you need to thing about what group policies are applied where.
For example you might have an organizational unit called sales with a group policy applied at that level and if you move that user there then that user will pick up the group policy.
Group policies are applied in order as follows:-
Local Security Policy
Site
Domain
OU
Child OU's

So you need to bear this in mind apart from that an organizational unit is basically used as an administrative tool to organize your AD better
