We are looking at evaluating and purchasing performance monitoring/tuning tools for Oracle. I know that Oracle licenses their own tools. What third party tools are available? We are a relatively new Oracle shop, so we don't know which products have the most to offer.

Oracle performance tools

I have found that BMC (<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> has both an excellent set of tools and is a vendor that I have enjoyed working with in the past. The name of the tool you would be interested in would be Patrol. Computer Associates (formerly Platinum products) also has competitive products. There are other vendors out there as well, but with all the vendor consolidation I don't what the owning vendor is anymore. I hope this helped
