Hi,

I have two laptops patched onto a wireless network, I can ping between both laptops so theres connectivity. On Laptop 1 I have created a instance with repository called sid = OEMREP.

The problem is when I start up the laptop windows can not start the OracleManagementServer service, any idea what it could be?

Regards
Bobby

What version of Oracle?

Have you checked the Events log?
What errors do you get?

The orcale version is Oracle Enterprise Edition 9.2.0.1, In the Event viewer under Application logs I have the following error message

"The Process termination failed for JRE%2, The service has terminated abnormaly.See the file c:\oracle\ora92\sysman\log\oms.nohup for details"

The details of the file oms.nohup file are:

I've tried deleting the entire oracle installation on both laptops then started installing software only on one laptop when it completed, I rebooted the laptop then created a OEM repository SID= OEMREP, which successfully completed as well. I then logged on to the OEMREP via enterprise manager console as launch standalone, i then exited the console. Went into windows services to start the OraHome92ManagementServer service but it would not start, the OraHome92HTTPServer wouldn't start either I get the message below:

"The OracleOraHome92ManagementServer service on local computer started and then stopped. Some service stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example the Performance logs and Alerts service."

I give up now as i've hit a dead end, I'm surprised no one else at tek-tips has come across this probelm, which leaves me wondering if its a problem with the hardware on my Laptop.

Laptop Configuration below:

Compaq Evo notebook
Windows XP Professional SP2
Intel Pentium 3 1200MHz
256 RAM
20 GB Hard Disk

HELP!
