I was deleting a database instance that I built and something happened so that the delete didn't finish completely. I am trying to rebuild another instance with the same name but Oracle keeps telling me that there is already an instance service of that name and to pick a new SID.
The instance service is stopped (or so it says) and disabled. I looked through the registry and then only keys I see I there are MRU's from dropdowns and Legacy applications. The Database Configuration Assistant does not see the database so I can delete it again.
What can I do to get this service to delete completely?
