Hey all,
I am trying to access an Oracle database and I get an error message: "Could not find crdb_oracle.dll" I looked at Oracle's page as well as installed Hot Fixes and searched all of Crystal's site. Anyone know where I can find this dll?
You need to tell Crystal to install the Oracle stuff, it won't do it in a default install. You also need to have the Oracle client installed. I have found the whole install goes better if I install the clients first.
I have Oracle Client installed. The only unique thing about my PC vs. any other PC at our company is that it had CR 8.5 installed previously. I have de-installed that, but it seems as if that's the common thread here.
Naw... I started with 8 on this computer and I am up to 10 now. My oracle still works. The best suggestion I can give is to update your crystal install to include the orcale stuff again. You may need to uninstall then reinstall. Don't forget the service packs. Oh... you should probably make sure your client works outside of crystal first.. I use toad but you can use anything includeing the standard oracle tools.
