I have a database that consists of 20 tables that was designed in Oracle Designer.
When I go to the server model diagram in the Design Editor and add some fields and definitions to match changes we've made in the testing model, only some of the changes show up when I try to re-generate DDLs for the new database.
For example one table that is completely new and 4 new fields are added to the new DDL's when the DDL's are regenerated, yet other fields that were added to the server model don't show up?
What's the reason for this? Even if I try to generate an entirely new model for a different database in a different directory, the definitions are still missing from the tables.
Also none of the changes that are showing up were added to the earlier stages of "pre-design" they have all been added to the "design Editor" under the table definitions. They show up on the diagram but not in the new DDLs (sorry if I'm being redundant here). I've checked and there seems to be nothing that would prevent the tables or attributes in question from being generated.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
This is for an Oracle 8 system BTW.
