Hello all,

I'm new to Oracle and have been tasked to develop a application using Oracle Designer 9i. My question is: How does one import a MS Access database(tables only, no data) into Designer, rather than re-creating the entities/attributes in the Entity Relationship Diagrammer.

Thanks much

Go to Design Editor and select

Generate/Capture Design of/Server Model

There you may select ODBC datasource.

Sem,

Thanks much, one more step closer! I now get errors such as this:
----------------------------------------------------------
Server Generator 9.0.2.80.4, Thu Oct 31 15:10:30 2002
Copyright (c) Oracle Corporation 1995, 2002. All rights reserved.

CDS-18014 Error: Index Entry '' has a null Column parameter 'column' in file ..\cddo\cddoie.cpp function cddoie_index_entry::cddoie_index_entry and line 185
Processing Complete: 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)
---------------------------------------------------------
The tables do not have any data in them, if that may be a consideration.

Thanks again,
Larry

You should address this to Metalink as it's internal error.
