Oracle Database Information

I'm looking to find information on the Oracle database. What it is and how to use it. I'll be writing perl scripts to access the database, but don't know anything about Oracle. Any links to documentation would be very helpful. Thanks.

I recommend your surfing out to Amazon.com and entering the keywords "Learning Oracle". You will find 11,312 hits, of which I'm sure you will find 1 or 2 whose titles sound like what you want and whose cost fits your budget.

Hi,
Is someone actually allowing you to access an Oracle database even though you know nothing about its structure or language?

( you will need to register, it is free and they do not share info with anyone else)

Hahaha. Good point. I definately wouldn't. It was for a job interview...just didn't wanted some background of Oracle before I had the interview. Might have worked, I got the job!
