Oracle 8.1.7 on RH Linux 1

I installed Oracle 8.1.7 on Redhat 7.0. The installation went fine, but while starting the database (thru shell scripts generated by DBassist), it gives ORA:03113 "end-of-file communication error".

Someone told me that I need to relink the Oracle files with glibc.
I would appreciate if someone know the procedure to relink.

Also, it would greatful if there is an easy way to change the Semaphore/Memory Segments paramters in RH7.

Did you find an answer to this one? I'm having the exact same problem with my RH7, Oracle 8.1.7 installation
