We are running into a capacity issue. With the nature of 32-bit Windows apps limiting the max theoretical memory per process to 2GB, we are running into a situation where there is no more memory to start another connection thread. Several consultants have suggested either upgrading the server OS to W2K Advanced server, or implment MTS.

MTS seems to be a more scalable solution. Does anyone have any experience (both good and bad) changing an existing server from dedicated server mode to MTS?

Thanks!

Did you ever consider going to a real operating system like UNIX? Sun, HP, and IBM all have some very nice, scalable, 64-bit machines that are known, proven entities.
