Oracle 10g runtime install does not install the ODBC stuff. How is best method to install client in order to show up odbc options

The simplest way to get all of the Oracle runtime components plus ODBC is to run OUI twice. The first time do a runtime install. The second time select custom install. You should get a list of available products including "Oracle Windows Interfaces". The ODBC driver is one of the components within "Oracle Windows Interfaces". Select it and proceed with the installation.

When you download the instantclient_10_2 there should be an ODBC installer.exe
Launch this and ODBC driver will be installed.
