I have been on AS/400 and RPG since 1992 and worked on JDE Oneworld in year 1998, for one year, mostly using Developer tools helping users getting custom reports. I want to re-enter Oneworld arena. What are my options? What type of training do I need to be successful? Out of two options, Functional Consultant and JDE Developer, which career is better to pursue from future and monetary perspective?

The best thing to be is an apptech. One who knows the "how" things work behind the scenes and the "why" of what needs to be done from a business perspective.

The tool has changed from 1998. There is a developer's immersion course available.
