System: Avaya IP Office R8.1 Manager About Section says: V10.1 (43)
System: Avaya IP Office Voicemail Pro Client Version 8.1.810.0

I was told that since moving to the upgraded version we no longer have access to have a prompt that says " press 1 if you would like to continue to hold " or " press 2 if you would like to leave a voicemail" I dont know if there is a way around this or another config.

So when a customer calls our Toll Free number right now, it goes directly to the Hunt Group. You just continue to hold in the queue until someone picks up and thats it. I would like to have that option back and/or a work-around provided if anyone knows. Or possibly before the customer gets in the queue it will ask if they would like to leave a voicemail or sit in queue. If that makes sense to anyone.

Any help would be appreicated.

Thanks.

Did you do a "save and make live"?
Are you also sure that you are online with the VMPro client?

If all answers are yes then use debug view and see where it fails.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Yes I did Save & Make Live as well as Save within the other application and used the Merge save so I dont have to reboot. Still didnt work properly.

How do I enter debug view?

take the normalize queue off (for testing at least)
make sure your VMPro client is not offline when programming otherwise it will only save but not make live

Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

I unchecked the Normalize Queue box in the Hunt Group and I am still getting the same thing. The first annoucement of the lady saying all operators are busy please hold and you will transferred when one becomes available. I gotta b missing something here.

It either A) Isn't going where you think it is or B) You didn't match/create the start point correctly or C) You aren't working live on the VM Pro :)

Seems like amriddle01 gets a star
the start point doesn't match the group name so option B) is the winner.

Thank you for that! Use I had the name wrong. See I knew I needed any outsiders view. It was right there in front of me and I didnt even see it. Thanks.

I renamed info tech just to info and it played my recording. So it did work.

And to you Westi for going the extra mile :)

If the group name is actually Into Tech then you perhaps found a bug as it should match the name.
That is why i asked you to select the group from the list.
If you did that then it is for sure a bug.
