Hi guys,
I am a novice in access. I want to put two option buttons(radio buttons) in a form and update the database for every record. I have till now only created forms from the wizard directly from a table. Now I could get the option buttons only from the toolbox but I don't know how i could update the database from the form. I would appreciate any assistance.

I hope this helps. You need to create a new field in the database(table), Name that field. Go back to the form in design view. Right click on the options button that you put there and select Properties. Select the Data tab and you will see 'Control Source'. When you click on that field you should see the name of the new field you created in the table. Select that. That's all. Give it a try. Hope it works.

achiola,
Thanks. I had done it anyway. I created a field in the table. I put an options group in the form with the control source pointing to this field and I placed two radio buttons with values 1 and 2 inserted in the table depending on waht was clicked. This way I could update the database and retrieve them too. Thanks again
