Option 81C DNIS/POTS 2

HI,

I have an Option 81C we have an 800 number that i need to find the DNIS for. is there a way of tracing that?

The paperwork shows a wrong DNIS. The customer is saying she is not getting calls. I call the 800 number and I get answered. I call the DNIS voa Old paperwork and says the call cant be dialed. I DNB that DNIS and not in the switch.

example 800.XXX.7525 paperwork shows DNIS as 6522
i can dial 7525 and get answered in the ACD Q. or dial the 800 number and get answered.

DNB 7525 says MCID and all the TN's associated with it.

My question is I would like to back track and find the DNIS for this 800 number for future reference.

 
tough problem, you can either ld 80 trad x x against all the t's it might be comming in on or turn on msgi x agains the dch that controls is..ld 96 enl msgi is never to be used during a high traffic time, best very late at night because it is very hard to turn off with pages and pages of text running.. if you know the users dn that answers the call, look at load 49 prt idc and see if it's translated their, or do a ld 80 trac against that station

Call your carrier and get a print out of all your 800#'s with thier DNIS.
 
DNIS is really the same as DID in many ways. With DID the number delivered is the DID number which matches the Destination DN.

On DNIS, the number delivered may or may not be a DID, but it is a DN on the system.

So in you case if you call the number, and the destination is 7525, then the DNIS is most likely 7525. If it is NOT, then you have an IDC table coverting the DNIS to 7525, and you should be able to find that easily.

First look at the route that the 800 lands on, if there is an IDC table assigned to it, print the IDC table and look for the entry that coresponds to 7525, you will then see the DNIS. If no IDC table is in play, then the DNIS is 7525.

A little confusing, but logical.
