tones are modified in ld 56 ftc.. i must not have that feature turned on because i don't get a tone from an acd que to the agent.. i did have a conf tone during the call, which is by law overseas. but that can be turned off in the cdb

Are you trying to make the phone sound differently when a queue call gets presented to an agent? You can change the buzz to a ring, that is done on the set in the CLS. Or is something different?

no I have been told the "ding" is much longer in duration, how or can I make it shorter in duration?

If you are refering to the 500ms buzz on a forced ACD call - that can not be changed.

If that is not what you are refering to - help us out a little. what is the call scenario in which you get this tone you are trying to change?

ok here goes, call drops into Q, agent is alerted with a "ding" now it is a prolonged "buzz" it coincides with a Max reboot a few weeks back. What would cause this to change and how can it be corrected? Thanks.

Have your vendor check your patches, there are a few patches for call force tone depending on your software level.

Also, if your ACD sets are 3905, make sure firmware is correct.
