Option 11c Terminal question

I have an Opt 11C system with a VT420 terminal attached. I went into the settings to change the backspace key on the keyboard to be backspace and when I exited all i had was a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner. I can't seem to get it to start its session again. I tried powering it off and back on again with no luck and when I press the F4 key (configured as session) the system just beeps at me. Anyone have any suggestions?

Reset to factory defaults and start over on the config. You can not back sapce on the terminal for the PBX.

In order to activate the ability to use backspace, the PBX needs "Line Mode On"

That feature is otherwise known as "LON and LOF" Sometimes it screws up older terminals...and it's easy to turn it on by mistake:
