Here is another question for you all!

I have a Nortel Option 11c Version 3 where the power supply breaker/switch shuts off daily. We had this problem last year around the same time frame, replaced the power supply and had no problems after that. Now the issue has come back. Could this be a temperature issue in the room? If so, what temperatures are acceptable for daily operation? Also I was wondering if this could be an issue with the cabinet itself or is it just time to replace the power supply again?

Thanks a million!

For the UK market, I found this old file.

THE PXML (81) STATES THE FOLLOWING ENVIRONMENTAL LIMITS FOR MERIDIAN ACCOMODATION:

TEMPERATURE; 10-45 DEGREES C

HUMIDITY; 20-80 %

All the best

Firebird Scrambler
Meridian 1 / Succession and BCM / Norstar Programmer in the UK

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Firebird,

Will the Option 11c Shutdown during a end-of-day routine if the temperature is consistently above 45 C? Im sure that with the temp. at or above acceptable conditions will shorten the life of the equipment.

I seem to recall that if you have the Nortel battery backup installed and battery voltage gets low then the breaker will trip. It won't happen until the AC goes off and the batteries drain, but if the batteries are old they might not be holding a charge, then any little power blip could trip the breaker.
