The complaint from one of our sites is that all the phones will stop working, sometimes for as long as 30 minutes and then come back. The power supply appears to be ok and the UPS the switch is plugged into is good. It seems like a power issue but is there something else I should check.

what do you see in AHST printout from ld 22?? any BSD errors, or Telco errors, ini's???

No, the sites are not networked together.

This is what I get when I logged in remotely and printed AHST.

That SYS000 00400 = power issue, yes. That is a power-on reset.

Matthew - Technical Support Engineer

This happened again but phones were only out for 5 minutes. Replaced the UPS even tho it showed no indication of low battery or overload and plugged the UPS into a different wall outlet. Waiting to see if this helps.

This can also be a bad power supply - IE, might not be the actual power source or UPS.

The only things I recall off the top of my head that cause the sys000 00400 are power-on reset, or, PDT reboot -1.

Matthew - Technical Support Engineer

Thanks Nortel4Matt...So far, so good. No more dropped phones. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I do have another power supply for the PBX if necessary.
