Can there be more than 1 CPU on an Option 11C ? If so how can I tell remotly if there are 1 or 2 CPU's ?

A 11C has only 1 CPU.
Maybe you have more dan 1 cabinets connected via fiber. Each cabinet has a fiber reicever, but it isn't a cpu. You only can program a TTY port on it.

But you can have SSC on the expansion and can ve on surviability licenses on the switch which will let the expansion cabinet work even the main cabinet fails.

Check succession 5.0. I think they are putting in redundant ssc capabilities.

Technically, you could, with 4.5, have either IP survivable cabinets, or MG1000B branch offices, which are survivable if the main cabinet goes down.

for Rls 5 you dont have SSC's anymore they have been replaced by quicker/ more powerful MGC's which can host DSP resources saving slots that would have been used by 32MC's, but these are not processors on their on right. They need help from a call server now call a CPPM CS. you can use your option 11 cab as an MG but certain slots have no/ limited functionallity.

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder
