The PCMCIA card that has th esoftware on it should be a bootable card and will load the OS when the machine is booted and the install routine is invoked.
That’s what I thought. I am not familiar with the Option 11 compact but my tech that is working on it says he needs a certain software in order to load the OS and he has confirmed that is has release 27. IDK
Here is what I got, This PBX is an option 11 compact. Running the following release.
VERSION 2727
RELEASE 2
ISSUE 00
What I need is the software file to create a bootable install pcmcia card to reload the software on a corrupted SSC card. I usually use the pcmcia card programmer software to load this file and make the pcmcia card bootable.
That release is VERY OLD, not likely to find a copy of it anyplace unless you can locate another Release 2 system. Still the PCMCIA should be bootable and should load the OS on the switch unless someone pooched up the card.
