Dear All,

I am involved in desging stage for crystal reports to be built on Relational datasource i.e. both Oracle and SQL server. If any one has intensive experience\knowledge with relational database can please suggest if creating stored procedures in Back end with and without parameters and the bind them to reports OR create views in back end the bind them to CR and create any parameters on the report will be most efficient way ... considering performace\flexibility....

Many Thanks and Advance
Helene

Can you use one View for more than one report? Is Crystal going to be set up so the end-user can alter Parameters as needed? How is Crystal deployed, stand alone or Enterprise? Why create View/SP's anyway? is it necessary? why can't you just add tables and link them in each report?

I guess i would go with Views, and let the end-user alter the Parameters in Crystal.
