Optimizing a Trunked Quad Gb NIC on Solaris Master/Media Server

I have a Sun v880 Master Server running NetBackup Ent 5.1 MP4 with a Sun Quad Gig-E NIC (using Sun supplied Trunking Software). Watching the NBU Admin console and looking at jobs it appears we are seeing a maximum throughput of 60MB (480Mb)/Sec. We have spent some time with Munin and snoop trying to characterize the traffic coming across each of the 1Gb NICs. What appears to occur is a Client's MAC Address is associated with one of the Gb NICS and is never changed. There does not seem to be any load balancing between the NICs. This leads to a situation where some NICs are heavily loaded whereas others see little or no traffic at various times during the backup window. We are using the default load balancing algorithm in the Sun Trunking Software. The Quad Gb Nic is connected to a Cisco 6513.

Is there configuration which optimizes and load balances traffic between each of the 4 NICs?

Are the switch ports also set to teaming, or trunking to match the server NIC settings?

Thank you for following up tbiller. Yes, the ports have been set for trunking (can't remember the Cisco terminology).
