We have a NEC NEAX 2000 IPS PBX and a couple D-Term IP phones.
We sent these phones to our 2 person remote office and have the phones connect back to our PBX over a VPN connection accross the Internet.
Now consistently during every call the Remote Office callers voice begins to break up and then goes silent during the call. The Remote Office caller can hear everything being said by the HQ office, but quality seems to be lost when sending packets from the remote office to the main office.
The phone calls are never terminated, or rarely terminated.
Is there a configuration or setting to get these phones to work better over a VPN and public internet connection?
This is a small office and the effort wouldn't justify buying special switches and telecommunication.
Any help is appreciated.
