We powered down the 81C FNF 4.0+ over the weekend and all looked good. Now we have static when digits are pressed, both internal and external. Also, there is now static on incoming, outgoing, internal and external calls. DTRs test fine, re-downloaded conf/tds, hmmmmm. Any ideas? When you dial a number and press additional digits, 1,2,3,4,5 staticcccccc, pleas try again....

have you tested from phones in other groups? try that, if issues are on one group, reseat the controller!

Your FIJI card is bad. You can try to reseat it but that will take down the shelf and probably the PBX. most likely will have to replae the card.

I really must apologize. This is a real wordy answer.

It does sound like a FIJI issue, however you can switch call processing to Ring 0 or 1 to try to isolate the issue to a ring. First turn auto recovery off before switching call processing. Once you switch CP see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't first turn auto recovery back on, let the rings go back to half/half then turn auto recovery back off and switch CP to the other ring. If the problem goes away then the off-line ring has an issue. Disable the offline ring, pull all FIJI cards in the disabled ring, reseat one at a time, let each FIJI card go through it's initilization (takes a couple of minutes) then enable the FIJI with an FDL. The FDL takes 10 minutes to complete. If both rings have the problem then you will have to perform the above operation on both rings. If you do this properly by isolating call processing you should not lose a single call. Please note the words 'should not'. Anything is possible. Good luck

Thank you for the insight. It was a FIJI problem, however a FDL seemed to fix the problem. Thank you for the help.
