I have lost the ability to get dialtone between two campuses. T1 tests good. I did a STAT in LD 60 and get disbl on each channel. I am new to this so if I get the term. wrong, bear with me! I had to replace the Clock card as it went bad. Can anyone help?? Let me know if I need to add more data!

Thanks!

FIRST DISL THE T1 THEN ENLL THE T1, AFTER YOU GET THE CHANNELS TO IDLE STATE YOU CAN THINK ABOUT GETTING YOUR CLOCK SOURCE BACK TO THE PRIMARY FROM FREE RUNNING

is it a t1 or a pri? more then likely it will be a pri, that allows names and msg lamps work across then link, ld 96 stat dch, you may see one that is down, do a dis dch x on that d, then ld so lcnt, look for hits on that your error tables, rcnt will clear that table, it will not come if that table has reached the thresholds. then do a disl x against the loop, then enll x, the d will auto est in less then 2 minutes, you'll need to do the same on the other end. one end may show a yellow alarm, meaning that the trouble is external on that switch, either end could have a bad card, or lose cable, if you need more help trouble shooting this, just reply

How can I tell for sure if I have a bad card and which one it is?

you'll need to build a loop back device, simple with a few pointers, you'll need a simple 8 conductor plug or jack, you could use a db-15, but they are a little more diffucult it find. for the 8 conductor (rj-45) just wire pins one and two to pins 4 and 5.. putting that on the t (or pri) coming from your t1, the t will stand up (all green o errors and trunks up) the pri will stand up the d will establish and then rls wronge mode.. that happens because you are either the office or field side, after the primary d establish, the layer 7 handshake will see that both ends are the same. not one of each as required.. you can also put a loop on the far end toward your switch and watch for hits, that will not only test your card (csu) but the span between the two... pins on a db-15 are 1 3 to 9 and 11, neither type is diffucult to wire and much better then paying me (the phone company) for coming out and testing.. even here where we live by tools, we make our on, i don't know where or if you could buy one...
