I have a customer who has an opt 51, the breakers on the bottom/back of the cabinet trip almost every day. Sometimes you can just reset the breakers and the switch comes back up, other times you have to power off/on the rectifier first before the PBX breakers can be reset. They are saying the rectifier is reading -33VA to -37VA. FYI, the ring generators on both shelfs are not working, they have been replaced, still not working, the PDU has been replaced, (when the PDU was replaced the fans stopped working) could it be the System Monitor Card or something with the Rectifier? They are saying they had a power surge at this building.
Thanks.

The rectifier is a MFA 150, the guy just sent me a pic and the volt reading is between 55.2 and 54.7 now. Can the power adjustments on the rectifier just be tweaked or can it still be the system monitor causing this.

System Monitors can cause weird things, especially after a power surge/outage. I don't think that is causing your voltage readings issue though. You really need a meter on there to see exactly what it is reading instead of believing the rectifier display.

The ring generator issue points to a bad system monitor

Yes, get the System Monitors replaced. that is where I would start. go to ld 32 and do a stat xsm to see if you get all clear.

Power surge though, hate to say, it could be anything.

Thanks, I'll replace the system monitor 1st and go from there.

Before you replace the System Monitor, isolate the problem by Unseating the system monitor and the Ringing Generator. Reset all the power switched. See if the system power comes up, re-seat the ringing gen., observed if the green light is on from the Ringing Gen.(your RG is ok). Re-seat the System Monitor and check if the Ring. Gen light turn off. And the system went off for few seconds, then your system monitor should be replace. Check also the system monitor switch setting.
