Opt 11C Main Cabinet --Expansion Cabinet (fiber connectivity problem?

Problem:
Option 11C : version 2111, releases 25, issue 15+
Fiber daughterboard: NTDK79 ( single mode-single port ), Receiver card: NTDK80 (3km single mode- single port).

A caller from main cabinet ( caller "A" ) called destination in Expansion cabinet ( caller "B" - over fiber , 3km), and the call was cut off, caller "A" ( from main cabinet ), was able to get dial tone after 3-5 sec.,
the caller "B" had a noise, no dial tone for about 2 minutes, probably all the other phones from the expansion cabinet were dead for the same time. After 2 minutes everything was fine.

Nothing was in errors or history.
any idea ????

use the fibre stat command etc
 
turn the lights out in the pbx room, i'll bet you'll see a very bright spot where someone damaged your fiber, i've seen it twice, and at my age i don't get very many offers at work to play in the dark. (friday again)

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.
 
The dark room only works on Nortel's 10 meter fiber. It will not work on single mode (yellow patch cords) fiber.
 
These two tests showed NO errors on fibre optic link.

We have seen some problems with single mode fibre cards.

We had a single mode fiber between two sites. The connection was tested and was ok.
Still, the meridian system did not accept the connection.
It was jumping up and down, and even made the system reboot.
We changed fiber cards in both ends, no luck!

After many days of work we changed the single mode fiber cards to multimode cards and had a fiber converters between the fiber connection and the fiber cards in the meridian.

It worked perfectly...
