I have an opt 11c release 4.5 that started doing something strange this morning. I have 4 cabinets and the second cabinet when I do a stat I get the following. Only happening on the second cabinet.

stat 12 0 thru 12 3
card uneqip

12 4 thru 12 7
uneq

12 7 thru 12 15
npr 007 Unit parameters out-of-range

This is and always has been a digital card.

Then on the next 6 digital cards I get this:
stat 13 0 thru 13 3
card unequip
13 4 thru 13 15
idle or busy whichever it is at the time.

The phones are working on all ports. Any ideas????

Then on the next 6 digital cards I get this:
stat 13 0 thru 13 3
card unequip
13 4 thru 13 15
idle or busy whichever it is at the time."

You are stating the units not the card, to stat the card just do

STAT 13 This is the card in slot 3 of the second Cab.
Stat 14
STAT 15 ect

Why are you stating the cards? are you looking for disabled sets?

To find Disabled sets just do

LDIS 0 This will list all disabled sets in Cab 0
LDIS 1 This will list all disabled sets in Cab 1
LDIS 2 This will list all disabled sets in Cab 2
LDIS 3 This will list all disabled sets in Cab 3

If I stat the cards it shows the correct info. But if I stat them individual they show uneq. Like below.

REQ: stat 15

01 = UNIT 01 = IDLE (2008)

your missing a patch.. it is not a program change, it's not physical, i always think patch at that point.. of course, even nortel eng's call the opt a "cow" corruption on the wall".. and for a good reason

Now John I Like the Option 11C more than the other Nortel Systems and I have always had less problems with the Option 11C than the others.

Too each his own

Do you guys think this is a patch issue?? There are no patches loaded on this switch....

Then on the next 6 digital cards I get this:
stat 13 0 thru 13 3
card unequip
13 4 thru 13 15
idle or busy whichever it is at the time."

You confused me with the "next 6 digital cards" There UNITs not Cards

13 0 Slot 13 unit 0
13 1 Slot 13 unit 1

Download the latest dep list and apply it. INI the PBX afterwards to activate the patches.

See if that makes your problem go away. If not, archive your DB to a PCMCIA card and blow the SSC out completely. reinstall and restore the db. Takes about 2 hours or so.

That will for sure remove any corruption issue you might have.

Thats a very help tips

But one thing I'm not sure of is what do you mean by 'blow the SSC' and how is it done?

Rgd

'blow the SSC' = Completely erase, format and reload.

I'm not going to put in the procedure as it is a higher level process. I would strongly recommend you go to your vendor and ask them to perform this task if that is the route you choose to take. Let them handle the risk.

Many thanks for this insight.

I'm not sure if I want to be falling back on my Vendor again. Slow rate of response is a reason.

Pls can I meet you?

sidomultilinks@yahoo.com is my email.

Try "stat 15 0 0 0"

I've got an 11 thats doing exactly the same thing, but the above works for me.

It's almost like they "want" to be 81's

As HUG... says, I have actually seen my 11c require l s c u entries before under 4.5.

However, if you don't have any deplists or patches installed on 4.5, thats a problem.

Go to ld 143 and type:

mdp issp

Post the results.

PS. I don't do work on the side as I don't want to end up owning somebody else's issues. If you go to your vendor and request they install the latest deplist, you will pay for it. Your vendor shouldn't delay that job as your system will not be supportable by Nortel.

That is item one, page one of the ITAS level one script-book under the section titled "how to get the caller off the phone

Hi MagnaRGP,

Pls understand me. I dont want you to take some else's issues. I only want to meet you say, "off camera" if you dont mind. sidomultilinks@yahoo.com
