I am using Sage ERP Accpac 500 (Version 6.0A) with PU2. When trying to open OpsInquiry one of my users is experiencing extremely slow open...3-5 minutes. She isn't experiencing any slow down in any of the other modules or when opening accpac. No one else is having the issue.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the module and it did not help. I have also opened the Ops Inquiry while logged in to the PC as Admin using the Accpac Admin account and the issue still happens.
Any idea what to do next?

That is a known issue with ops inquiry, it is extremely slow with large datasets.

Why would it take 30 seconds to 1 minute with all of my other users and 3-5 minutes for her?...they all connect to the same db. DB is 17.9 GB.

What is different with her computer?

As far as I know nothing. This problem just suddenly occurred about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I haven't made any changes to it and I have her (and all my users) set to restricted user. She can not install or remove programs . Something I didn't mention is that each user has a full install on their workstation. Also, she is a heavy Accpac/Ops User...constantly using it throughout the day.

Ops Inquiry is slow, it's just one of those things.

Each has their own install - maintenance nightmare no?
In any case if it's just one WS I would try having that user login from a different WS to see if it's her account or her machine.

Yes it can be a maintenance nightmare... but accpac is just too slow if we don't do it this way. I logged into Accpac as her user on my PC and it only took about 30 seconds to open. Which is normal for everyone else on the network. As I said it was loading normally up until 3 or 4 weeks ago. I guess I will have to uninstall and reinstall accpac and see if that helps. (uninstalling and reinstalling the app alone did not)

Ditto, format C: fixes many issues.
BTW installing software locally does not speed accpac up - if you see a speed difference then you have a crap network and/or server.

Ditto, local program installs are a maintenance nightmare and don't improve performance enough to warrant it.

Anti-virus software will also dramatically slow the the opening of Sage. I don't think anti-virus affects UniOpsInquiry, however. I suspect it is pre-loading a ton of data.

Did you ever resolve this issue? I have just upgraded a Sage 300 2014 with OPs Inquiry from a 2008 SQL server to a Sage 300 2016 on 2014 SQL Server. Now the item inquiry takes 100 seconds to open when it used to take 7 seconds. When I look at the process info, it is doing 220 000 I/O reads when it used to do 165 I/O reads !!! It doesn't make sense to me.

@GPLegg sorry for the delay in response. (I stopped monitoring the responses after the format C: response because I felt I was not being taken seriously)
The issue has corrected itself ... I am not sure what caused it but it went away the same way it came ..out of nowhere.... possibly network issue (even though it only affected one pc on the network) or a bad update that caused a conflict. It is working perfectly now.

All fixed now: I reported my problem to Sage and they sent me a program fix to Ops Inquiry 6.3a reference knowledgebase article 73690.
