Hello Everyone, we recently upgraded Our Enterprise Manager
to 6.0 and Ops Manager
now we have a Issue with launcing the Ops client
we get a Java error we have reset the server and tried restarting the apache and Enterprise manager service
and get the same
(see java console error window for messages)
It worked for a week after the upgrades and now we have this Issue any Insight is appreciated !

The old Ops Client is no longer available as a direct login. You must log into the Enterprise Manager first.

of server>:9090 will get you to the proper login.

Hello Paterson, thanks for your reply
we can launch Enterprise Manager and we click on configuration and then Ops manager when we get the error

At a guess your server has 2 NIC's and the OPS application is launching against the wrong NIC. This fails Licensing authentications and OPS won't launch.

If my guess is right, disable the 2nd NIC and relicense Eman.

Try clearing all cache and history. Did you recently upgrade java?

Here are the minimums for the client software:

• Windows 2000
Professional SP4,
Windows XP Professional
SP2, or XP Home SP2
• Microsoft Internet
Explorer 5.5 SP2
• Java Runtime
Environment 6.0
• TightVNC 1.2.9 (available
on the installation CD)

Are you on the Enterprise Manager server when you launch the client? I have had issues with accessing OPSMAN when using the server itself. Have not figured out what fixes the issue yet.
